Overview:Responsible for providing patient-oriented service in a clinical or front office setting; performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of patient care, including greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, collecting patient co-pays and insurance payments, processing paperwork, and performing other front office duties as required in a fast-paced, customer-oriented clinical environment.Essential Functions:Greets patients and directs them to appropriate departmentsAnswers multiple phone lines; directs calls and takes messages as neededVerifies patient information and insurance eligibility; collects paymentsDirects patients to complete forms and processes patient-related paperworkInforms providerxe2x80x99s assistant of no shows and cancellationsMakes follow-up appointments for patients and calls patients to confirm appointmentsContacts xe2x80x9cbumpedxe2x80x9d patients and reschedules appointments as appropriatePerforms various front-office duties in a fast-paced, customer-oriented clinical environment, as assignedEducation Required:High school degree/GED (preferred) or equivalent experienceExperienceMinimum:Up to and including one year of experienceExperience working with the publicPreferred:Over one year of experience and up to and including three years of experienceExperience in medical reception and customer serviceRequirement:Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role.
