Job Details Job Location LBJ Tower – Dallas, TX Position Type Full Time Description Job Summary: Fast- paced neurology clinic is seeking a highly skilled, initiative-taking Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a key role by performing various administrative and clerical tasks. You should be comfortable undertaking a variety of activities in the office, answering the phone, organizing skills, Reliability and a strong work ethic combined with excellent communication skills are necessary, as well as familiarity with all necessary office equipment, software, and office procedures.Duties/Responsibilities:xc2xa0 Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office. Direct visitors to the appropriate person in the office. Collect co-pays and coinsurance at patient arrival. Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls that are transferred to the front desk. Page physician for stroke calls from affiliated hospitals. Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms, and brochures). Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email, such as location & directions to clinic. Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries. Maintain office lobby to ensure patients are not overlooked or forgotten to check-in with reception desk. Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock. Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as sort faxes, scanning when needed, delivering packages if needed. Provides any other duties and responsibilities as determined by management and physician leadership. Abides by all HIPAA and confidentiality regulations and policies. Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities:xc2xa0 Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role in a healthcare setting. Customer service attitude Professional attitude and appearance, excellent customer service skills. Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers). Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to be resourceful and initiative-taking when issues arise. Excellent organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Allscripts or other Practice Management software. Answer the phone, take messages, and redirect calls to appropriate offices Education and Experience:xc2xa0 High school diploma or equivalent. Must have an understanding of insurance, insurance verification and co-insurance. Physical Requirements:xc2xa0 Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Lift 10 to 20 pounds as needed.
