Pay Range: $18.00 – $26.14 Job Type: Full Time – Remote / Hybrid Position Summary: Patient Service Representative xe2x80x93 Call Center staff are responsible for answering all phone calls for Colorado Retina Associates. They are to direct calls to appropriate parties and schedule patient appointments for all doctors of Colorado Retina Associates. Call Center staff will also be responsible for rescheduling appointments as needed for physicians. Call Center staff need to navigate through NextGen (practice management system) and MDI (EHR system), as well as Microsoft Outlook, and to follow communication policies. Call Center staff are required to know all insurances that Colorado Retina is in network with and will also need to know, and follow, Colorado Retina Associatesxe2x80x99 policies and procedures. Job Duties: Answer phone calls for all doctors of Colorado Retina Associates Schedule all patient appointments according to procedure Know and understand Colorado Retina physician scheduling preferences Know and understand insurances accepted by Colorado Retina, as well as insurances NOT accepted by Colorado Retina Schedule by the template and physician scheduling policies Book appointments from the middle outward, to prevent gaps in the schedule Ensure notes have been received from referring offices when scheduling new patients Refer to patient addresses when scheduling and offer a location closest to the patientxe2x80x99s home Open patientxe2x80x99s chart in MDI to review the physicianxe2x80x99s requested follow up when scheduling, or rescheduling, an appointment Ensure patient requests are handled in a timely manner and tasked to Leads, or specific Coordinators, as needed Refer to NextGen to see where our physicians are located daily Follow internal procedures for patients that are hearing impaired and coordinate with clinical staff Transfer all late appointment phone calls to the front desk for physician approval/denial Email the clinical lead and primary technician when you add an emergent patient to a physicianxe2x80x99s schedule. Also follow all other protocols for emergent patients Ensure patients calling in with visual emergencies are handled by the Triage Department Take messages for all sales calls and email to the appropriate manager Transfer phone calls to managers if the caller is a Colorado Retina physician Log off computers at the end of the day Follow all Colorado Retina policies and procedures Remain courteous and professional at all times Other duties as assigned Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED Excellent communication skills and etiquette Be able to multi-task and work well under pressure Ability to work accurately and efficiently Knowledge of NextGen EPM and Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel) preferred Knowledge of scanning and faxing documents Certificates & Licenses: NA Our benefits include: Competitive salary Safe harbor/profit sharing plan Full medical, dental, and vision insurance eligibility Pet insurance Legal, life, accident, disability, and hospitalization insurance
