ERG has 400+ in-patient beds, a large and growing database of patients suffering from mental illness, neurological disorders, sleep disorders, addictions, Acute and Chronic Pain, diabetes, and other illnesses as well as normal healthy volunteers who participate in trials for the advancement of medicine. With access to over 32 million patients/subjects and 5000 + completed trials, ERG continues to grow its capabilities and expand into indications where there are tremendous unmet medical needs in the United States and globally.:The Receptionist is responsible for all functions associated with the front desk including greeting patients, answering the phone, and maintaining patient flow.Responsibilities: Answer the phone and respond appropriately by routing the call to the correct person or taking a message. Greet patients upon arrival and initiates completion of requiredxc2xa0forms. Maintain clean and neat office area including waiting room and kitchen. Includes magazines, newspapers, trash, etc. Call patients to confirm appointments, follow up on patients who are late or do not keep theirxc2xa0appointment. Maintain schedule and inform office staff of schedulexc2xa0changes. Update computer database and enrollment logs Maintain office supplies, kitchen supplies, etc. and order/purchase asxc2xa0necessary. Maintain forms files including consent, physical exam and neurological examxc2xa0files. Maintain and uses office equipmentxc2xa0appropriately. Disburse checks for patient expenses asxc2xa0appropriate. Receive and distribute mail. Schedule outside tests as necessary including CT scans andxc2xa0x-rays. Fax and make copies asxc2xa0requested. Request medical records from outside offices asxc2xa0necessary. Do generalxc2xa0filing. Additionally, this role may encompass responsibilities beyond those outlined above, as required by the evolving needs of the organization. Skills and Qualifications: Education and experience High school diploma/GEDxc2xa0required. Requirements Organizational skills. Detail oriented. Ability to work in a dynamic environment. Ability to work as a team member. Understand regulatory requirements, as well as Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and International Conference of Harmonization (ICH) guidelines. Knowledgeable in medical terminology Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal) Basic computer skills to include Word, Excel, as well as proprietary applications unique to the clinical research industry (such as Study Manager)
