Position Summary: Access Primary Care Physicians is seeking an organized, detail-oriented front office medical receptionist who is passionate about healthcare and customer service to join the team of collaborative physicians and medical assistants. This role is responsible for providing patient-oriented service in a clinical front office setting; performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of patient care. General Duties/Responsibilities (May include but are not limited to): Greets patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner in compliance with policies and workflows. Answer multiple phone lines; directs calls and takes messages as needed. Oversees patient check in by ensuring medical records/charts have been pulled, patient data is current, appropriate paperwork is in order, and charts are reviewed/prepared. Oversees patient check out by scheduling follow up appointments, collecting co-payment if applicable, ensuring paperwork is complete. Schedules and confirms patient appointments. Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in medical reception and customer service. Medical Assistant certification from an accredited school of training preferred. Other: Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required. Manages difficult or emotional customer situations.
